Richard Hall is a registered architect in our New York office with more than 25 years of experience.
Richard's experience encompasses a wide range of building types and scales across the world. Since joining AAI, Richard has worked as a Project Architect on the renovation and modernization of Five Manhattan West, and the redevelopment of St. John’s Terminal, which transformed a former rail terminal into a headquarters for Google.
Richard began his career with Joseph T. Matthews & Associates where he worked for seven years on commercial and residential projects. From 2000 to 2012, he was an Associate and Senior Technical Coordinator with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York where he contributed to a wide range of large-scale international projects including the US Embassy in Ghana, the Mumbai Maker Maxity Hotels in India, the King Abdullah Financial District Murqarnus Tower in Saudi Arabia, the Qatar Petroleum Commercial project in Doha, Qatar; and the Hill County Special Economic Zone office building in Hyderabad, India, winner of a 2009 Global Holcim Award.
He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude in 1995. He also holds an Associate degree in Applied Science Construction Technology (Honors) from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York. Richard is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C).
